This mix was created, recorded live in studio, published, and created art all on Valentine's Day of 2024. This megamix is focused on my personal journey to finally find her, across oceans and galaxies, I find You. It's about the journey to the goal for You.

Yes, it's a bit rough, but I've learned being genuinely in my art and flaws matter more than perfection.

About the Cover Art

The cover art itself is representing a few things. Like in the "You" Megamix, the cover art includes red posies which like "You", are placed throughout the cover art to show true passion and beauty that transcends time.

Additionally, in the background is a shadowy figure, which is representing myself, and the river seems easy to cross, but in itself is a journey. Also, where the art is based on real life people, there is a river between us, geographically.

Song Selection

Jason - The Midnight ft. Nikki Flores

This was the point where I started the journey, going towards and finding her. I felt like it was a massive undertaking in itself. I only had her light to go towards in the middle of darkness.

High Hopes (White Panda Remix) - Panic! At The Disco

I included this song for a couple of reasons, one being that I was very hopeful that I will find her across the journey I undertake.

Additionally, the girl that these mixes were for, her favorite band happens to be Panic! at the Disco. She does love Brendon Urie.

Give You Up - Koven

Although I don't know what lies on my journey to her, I'm not afraid to let my guard down, and I will never give you up. It was a moment in this journey, that what I felt was real, and I really didn't want to give her up.

Holdin' On (Skrillec & NERO Remix) - I See MONSTAS

The journey to her will be rough. But no matter what happens, something waiting for me. I keep going until I get what I've been searching for: her.

Start It Over - Last Heroes & Man Cub feat. KC

The mix into this is a little messy, but it was kind of meant as a transition to ask:

I've known her for 11 years as of recording Journey to You, we have matured overtime. At the time we met, it was high school. I was, let's say, eccentric and outgoing. We've changed overtime, and I think that had made us into better people overtime (at least for me).

Recess (Milo & Otis Remix) - Skrillex & Kill The Noise feat. Fatman Scoop & Michael Angelakos

For me, this was a rather... interesting pic. There isn't much to explain on this one, to be transparent, I needed a song to transition to.

Freak Flag - Here Come the Mummies

You, the reader, might think this song was a weird and very out-of-the-blue pick, and I wouldn't blame you. My reasoning for this song's inclusion is was also a little reaching.

This song was intended to be a reference to her originally being in a marching band color guard for the longest time, but to be honest, the song didn't exactly stick the landing well.

Cold Heart (PNAU Remix) - Elton John & Dua Lipa

When I recorded and originally wrote the notes for my explaination, I felt like I wasn't the guy she was going for at the time. I felt like I was getting mixed signals, ghosting, and to an extent a cold heart. In fact, I wasn't even sure if she was already in a relationship at the time.

Edit (02/02/2025): Turns out that there was a lot more going on in the background that I didn't realize at the time, so my line of thinking back then was pretty close to the target.

How Will I Know - Whitney Houston & Clean Bandit

When recording this mix, like I mentioned in Cold Heart, I was unsure if she was with anyone at the time. There were no signs of a yes or no, it was like a Schrödinger's relationship status at the time. Hence:

Some Say (Felix Jaehn Remix) - Nea

From the conversations we have had prior, there were hints and signs that there was a spark of sorts, at least on my side. Additionally, as the song samples the chord structure of Blue by Eiffel 65, I was feeling a bit blue and doubtful myself.

However, I was still willing to wait for her.

It Don't Matter - Alok, INNA, & Sofi Tukker

No matter where I was, what I was thinking, she was always in my head. Something about her just clicked and stuck around in my head longer than any other person I have ever met at the time. Edit: Still, in 2025, I feel that.

Melody - Sigala

Like in It Don't Matter, she was always in my head like my favorite melody. Every time she was in my thoughts,

This line clicked with me in real life as a DJ. She was the only melody I could hear and feel. This feeling has never occurred to me prior.

Fall Again - HAYLA

Most of this song is about if she were here now, would I fall for her again? She's the first thing on my mind when I wake, in my dreams, and beyond. It was also a moment of "why were my feelings for her much stronger than anything else prior?"

Tell Me Why (VIP Mix) - Alok & Harrison

A few of my friends at the time thought I was going too deep for her when creating the mixes, one of them citing a possibility of limerence. Tell Me Why is the thoughts in the back of my head from my friends worried about limerence for her, and the voice in the back of my head giving me negative thoughts of why I'm doing this.

Friendships - Pascal Letoublon

We've known each other since 2013, and friendships met through our mutual connections was the spark that started. If it wasn't for the mutual friendship I made back then, I'm not sure if I would have met her.

Rain On Me (Purple Disco Machine Remix) - Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande

I was hopeful. I was hoping, praying, nearly begging for her love to rain on me. I thought this song was a great representation of this feeling.

Kernkraft 400 (A Better Day) - Topic & A7S

I saw the signs. I saw the light. I had copious amounts of hope that there was a better day for us.

How Deep is Your Love - Calvin Harris + Disciples

The question asked was really for the both of us.

How far would I go for the one I truly wanted in my heart? And what about her? Does she feel the same way?

Crazy What Love Can Do - David Guetta, Becky Hill, & Ella Henderson

Ain't it crazy what love can do to a man, let alone a passionate man? I was about to give up on romance. Then she came into the picture, and this immense feeling became so powerful for so long. Crazy, isn't it? That's what this song signifies the journey my heart took and is still persisting to this day.

Can't Get You out of My Head - Kylie Minogue

I think the song describes everything. I can't get her out of my head.

Deep Down (Nathan Dawe Remix) - Alok, Ella Eyre, & Kenny Dope feat. Never Dull

I had these what if moments of her saying no, but her internally wishing deep down I was hers. Kind of like Helga and Arnold in Hey Arnold in a sense.

Feels Like - Slushii

I've known from my past I have a tendency to fall very quickly, that would nearly make me go insane, and in the past I didn't truly know what true love felt like. So I took my own advice and waited for a few weeks to see if the feeling persisted instead of jumping headfirst with no thought. And, like in the song:

This persisted. It was strong. I've never felt something so strong before in my life. I was asking myself the question of a feeling I've never truly felt before.

Radio - Sigala & MNEK

When I thought what I was feeling of limerence, I've been hearing songs and signs that I shouldn't let her go. Songs, radio, even a couple Spotify daily mixes. I think I know what it really means.

Hot Stuff - Donna Summer & Kygo

Well, to be fair, she was (and as of editing still is) hot stuff. So this song seemed very fitting. plain and simple as that.

DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love Again - USHER feat. Pitbull

Up to this point, I've made 2 mixes, and I was thinking that the mixes I've made is slowly showing her I fell in love with only her. And I was thinking it reciprocated as well to me, so this song really coincided wit the feeling.

Stay the Night - Sigala & Talia Mar

Yes, I am very aware that I included quite a bit of Sigala in the mix. It fit the best, and this song is no different. I'll just leave this line here:

At the time, this song was what I thought signified her looking for someone herself, from her point of view. This version of ABBA's classic seemed to fit that narrative that I thought was the event going on with her at the time.

Roses (Imanbek Remix) - SAINt JHN

I thought I was trying to explain my fast behavior, but it really signifies that I am very excited and hopeful, not really reckless in nature.

Take It Off (Billboard Radio Mix) - Kesha

This song was just very fun to use. Plus, in real life, she introduced me to a show called Helluva Boss, where Kesha just so happens to perform a song as a character at the end of season 1. So, this was meant as an interesting nod to that.

What is Love - Braaheim & Maoam

Haddaway's classic, for me it asks "What is Love?" What if what i was feeling was being misread? And I ask her to please don't hurt me. This also has a small extra significance in the ADHD of me, where it can look like I'm "lovebombing" her, but I've learned that the reason ADHD people don't and narcissists do it is for different reasons. Luckily I'm in the former, where I hyperfocus and I am excited about her. I don't want to do the "golden handcuffs" thing narcissists to, or even come off like that by complete accident.

Lose Your Love - Sevenn feat. Ghosts!

No song I have heard thus far represented how I felt like this one.

Heart On The Line - Feed Me & Leo Leone

This song, I had recently listened to prior to making this mix, I was putting my heart on the line for her, something I have never done for anyone before. All of the (arguably very few) mixes I've done to this point I haven't even considered doing for another woman. So I was really putting my heart on the line, and definitely out there.

This song, man. What a clean representation of something new to me about another person. It was so loud in my head when she came into my life, and back in the picture as of recent. It was refreshing, it was a time where I was and am truly excited and happy.
